missing home

what with skyping with my family last weekend, the rain in the city this week and all the focus on london in the run-up to the olympics, i've found myself really missing home. we went to a different branch of my favourite english restaurant (chipshop), where they make delicious pies and serve full english breakfasts for brunch, only to discover that they sell a small, but perfectly selected range of british food. i was so excited, especially when i saw the curlywurlys. they're probably my all-time favourite chocolate bar, mostly because they remind me of "tuck shop" at school, back in the day when they only cost 10p. i plan on devouring it with a nice cuppa...perfect for cheering me up!

(cheeseburgers, mac & cheese, green beans (we tried to be healthy!) and apple pie)

...and of course, having a day off.
